League Presentation Evening - Friday 25th May

Another fantastic Awards Evening at Derby Assembly Rooms and the official end of the Derby Mini-Soccer League. Next year we return as the Derby Junior Football League.

On behalf of the League's Management Committee I'd like to thank everyone involved in the Presentation Night and those running teams and clubs this year. I would also like to thank Martin Taylor from Derby County FC and Derby Mayor, Lisa Higginbottom for presenting the awards.

Thanks also go to the girls from DanceTek for opening the night (don't forget their show at the Guildhall from 18th July) and also to football freestylist John Whetton for an excellent display of skill.

...and finally, to Kustomised in Abbey Street for providing the Trophies and for sponsoring the cup finals at Ilkeston FC.

Presentations - Development Section - Sun 27th May

I've been trying to secure a venue for a presentation event for the Development Section. Unfortunately I've been unsuccessful. As a result, we will be making the presentation on matchday on Sunday 27th May.

I'm delighted to say that for yet another year, every player will receive an award!

So that proceedings run smoothly, I'm intending to bring the 10:00am kick off forward by 30 minutes to 9:30 to give us more time inbetween matches. Here is the program;

  • Teams kicking off at 9:30 and 11:00 will receive their awards at 10:30
  • Teams kicking off at 12:00 and 13:30 will receive their awards at 13:00
  • Teams kicking off at 14:30 and 15:30 will receive their awards at 15:30 (which means the final KO will be delayed slightly).

The Awards will be presented on Pitch 3. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the presentation but stay outside the ATP perimeter fence until the match on pitch 3 is concluded. Then, the teams should come onto the pitch and form orderly lines parallel to the half way line (League voluteers will be there to direct you). Parents in trainers will be allowed onto the artificial surface. Everyone else must stay off!!!

Additional Awards......?

I will have a few spare awards for the odd player who cannot make it on the day. 

Team Not Due to Play.......?

Teams who are not due to play may attend any of the slots but please let me know which one you want to come to. Please bring at least 5 players in kit. Those teams who do not turn up on the day for whatever reason can pick up their awards at the AGM. I will not allow Managers to collect awards on behalf of other teams (or their own team should they turn up with no players).

If you need more info, please speak with me on match day.
