I now spend most of the first matches re-doing the respect barriers. We even lost two bags today. One was eventually found IN THE RUBBISH BIN next to pitch 2 where Codnor U8 and Allestree Bayern were first kick off. Can anyone shed any light on this? The other bag is still missing and has probably found its way into someone's kit bag by accident.
So here's the reminder (again)......
* Set up the line at the edge of the astroturf (parent side) and at least 1 meter away from the pitch (coaches side).
* Use all of the rope (too often we have a barrier extending down two-thirds of the pitch but a good ten yards still wrapped up!).
* Tie the rope off AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BARRIER (it stops it falling over when the kids pull on it).
* Finally, put the empty green bags into one of the goals where it will not blow away (if left at the side of the pitch it will go walk about).

Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 3:59PM This year the cup finals will be at Ilkeston FC on 6th May. Presentation Night will be on 25th May at Derby Assembly Rooms. Watch this space for more details as we get into detailed planning.
We are also looking into a dedicated awards event for the Development Section if we can find a suitable venue and if there is interest from Clubs.
