Plans to make Alvaston Park available for football this season are well underway. Currently a working party of local Leagues and the County FA are helping the City Council in the final preparations.
The park will host six 9v9 pitches with fixed goals. These will be used by the Derby Girls League on Saturdays. There will be some use of these pitches on Sundays by the Derby Mini-Soccer League in 2011/2012.
